Viruses as Complex Adaptive Systems by Ricard Solé and Santiago F. Elena

Viruses are the most numerous form having 10-100 more individuals than bacteria. Looking at a drop of water with a microscope (Figure 1.1) looks much like looking the sky with a telescope. Each image contains a myriad of bodies. The smallest in the drop of water are viruses.
